Large hardcover in green cloth with red titles, matching dust jacket, 9 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches, 258,[3] pages, chapter headings in color and monochromatic illustrations at beginning of chapters, 4 black and white food photographs at rear, pictorial endpapers; boards are clean and square, mild soiling to top edge of text block, previous owner's bookplate affixed to preliminary blank page with moisture waving from the adhesive, else internally clean and sound, dust jacket rubbed and edge worn with dust smudging and small tap reinforcements at head of spine and top corners, damp stain at tail of spine and bottom rear edge, small puncture line in spine, dust jacket now in protective mylar cover.
