Remember "The Bedroom Companion or A Cold Night's Entertainment" (1935)? In it the men had the opportunity to express their honest opinions of women, mores, and many other things. But the hue and cry which arose when this scurrilous volume appeared was so violent that the publishers felt the women were entitled to a reply. Hence, "The Boudoir Companion.
