First edition stated. Red & gray cloth boards are rubbed, scuffed and edge worn. Corners worn through. Gray cloth over red occasionally nicked at extremities. Cloth along front joint is cracked and has been neatly repaired with glue. Prev. owner's name and address along with date of 1940 in front end paper, which also has a tanned outline from something (newspaper?) being stored in the book. End paper cracked along front hinge, but binding holding fast. Unmarked pages are clean and crisp with faint toning at edges. Binding straight and tight. 274 pages. Profuse with black & white photographs, charts and diagrams. Forward by David Sarnoff. A fascinating look into the behind the scenes world of television, at its infancy.
